Homesteads Grill and Taphouse, owned by Byron and Christy Sackett, offers a menu of southern style American cuisine in a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere. The taproom offers guests 18 draft beers and a selection of wines on tap to choose from. The multiple banquet rooms can accommodate up to 125 people, ideal for special events and business meetings.
The restaurant was named after Byron Sackett’s hometown in Florida, where his family was in the produce business and many other former cotton farmers settled in the 1930s. The letter “o” in the name, shaped like a hurricane, is in remembrance of Hurricane Andrew and the destruction it left on the town.
Sackett’s restaurant intends to be strongly focused on community involvement and he hopes the community will, in turn, equally sustain his effort.
At Homesteads you will find state of the art technology, starting from the full Electrolux kitchen with top of the line equipment such as blast chillers and two combi ovens to banquet rooms with drop down screens.
Sackett constantly strives to offer and implement the most recent technology to improve business, assist employees, and offer a comfortable, streamlined environment for the customers.
He was placed in contact with Electrolux thanks to his association with General Mills, with whom he oversees food production for a vast amount of school systems.
The positive feedback received was what convinced him to choose Electrolux for Homesteads Grill and Taphouse. He said “having the Electrolux equipment in our kitchen allows us to tackle any task put before us, whether it’s a party of two or a party of two hundred or an off-site event for 5,000.”
Thanks to Electrolux, Sackett feels confident in expanding his business to Charlotte, keeping a home base and home kitchen in Lincolnton.
