Electrolux welcomed Chef Monkonjay to our Center of Excellence in Charlotte to bake some sweet holiday treats and deliver them to area non-profits.
Chef Monkonjay is a Greensboro fighter as well as a baker. He competed on the Food Network show “Chopped” with other first responders in an episode that aired in July 2018. He opened Uncle Cheesecake, a custom cheesecake bakery, in High Point in 2015.
Chef Monkonjay made red velvet and chocolate truffles and oatmeal raisin cookies with Electrolux Corporate Executive Chef Corey Siegel and intern Chef Jose Garcia. They then delivered the goodies to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and Charlotte Rescue Mission/Rebound in the Charlotte area.
