Curioso Restaurant: more than just a restaurant, a unique experience.
In the center of Peñafiel, Valladolid, Curioso Restaurant has made its mark since opening in January 2022. Its aim is to revolutionize the local gastronomic offer with a fresh and avant-garde approach. Following the maxim “He who seeks, finds”, Curioso Restaurant strives to provide unique experiences.
The heart of its gastronomic proposal beats to the rhythm of product cuisine, rooted in cherished traditions, but also with a touch of innovation that they consider fundamental. Behind this culinary corner, we find the owners: Marina de la Hoz, master of the stoves, and Luis de Miguel Aragoneses, who orchestrates the service in the dining room. Since 2016, they have shared their passion, starting at the Ambivium restaurant of the Pago de Carraovejas winery. From this fruitful collaboration, their own project emerged: the beloved Curioso Restaurant.

At Curioso they demonstrate a firm commitment to ecology, highlighting sustainability and traceability as essential values in the operation of the restaurant. They establish solid relationships with local suppliers, carefully choosing those they trust and who share the same passion for quality and respect for the product.
According to Marina and Luis “We want people to enjoy tradition in a different way, giving a point of view of enthusiasm to the cuisine. We seek to give a fun point to the kitchen and to that tradition, with a friendly service, a different glassware and the preparation of some dishes in front of the customer”.
The restaurant has a capacity to accommodate 40 diners, offering both a la carte service and tasting menus. The kitchen is equipped with state-of-the-art tools, such as Electrolux Professional’s Skyline Premium S 6 1/1 oven and hood type dishwasher.

The heart and soul of the culinary offering focuses on stews, grilled fish, meats and local vegetables. A special touch is added with the finishing of some dishes in the Skyline Premium S oven, which adds a unique nuance to the flavors that arrive at the table.
