Queen’s College, a school in pursuit of excellence for its pupils
Queen’s College is a progressive school with exceptional facilities and a long tradition of academic excellence. It is an institution where every pupil is important. Queen’s is close to the city of Palma, in an idyllic natural setting, a unique location that creates a tranquil environment that allows students to thrive.
Founded in 1977, it is a secular, co-educational school with 400 pupils, offering education from 3 to 18 years of age, from nursery to university entrance. It is a private, international, multi-disciplinary school, with A levels and International Baccalaureate.
Queen’s College has refurbished the kitchen, equipping it entirely with Electrolux Professional equipment to increase productivity, energy efficiency and improve the quality of the food served, with great confidence in the equipment.
The dishes offered are typical of the Mediterranean diet with some European touches due to the diversity of the students. All the products are pre-prepared and prepared in the same kitchen to ensure the best quality of the recipes prepared both in terms of organoleptic and nutritional quality and, in this way, to guarantee the absence of food additives and undesirable fats.
“I have been surprised by the speed of the oven and the fact that I can use it with humidity, being able to cook all kinds of products and regenerate them thanks to the exact humidity control of the Skyline Premium oven, and the versatility of the ProThermetic frying pan to make all kinds of sautés, stews, …” emphasises Jose Antonio González, head chef and former student of the Escuela de Hostelería de Palma.
300 dishes a day are prepared in a kitchen equipped with a Skyline Premium oven, a 900 XP cooker, a high-capacity and efficient 900 XP cooker with four Flower flame burners, a Fry Top Cromo and a Fryer HP.
The area is complemented by a ProThermetic Fry Pan and a hood type dishwasher, which provide the necessary service to the school.
