I Masanielli by Francesco Martucci has been named the best pizzeria in Italy and the world by the 50 Top Pizza guide.
Located in Caserta, near Naples, this pizzeria stands out not only for its exceptional pizza but also for its state-of-the-art kitchen. Apart from the pizza ovens, the kitchen resembles that of a high-end restaurant rather than a traditional pizzeria. It features cutting-edge equipment designed to optimize energy efficiency (using renewable sources), reduce cooking times, and enhance workflow.
Among the standout innovations are induction cooktops, automatic fryers with self-raising baskets, the SkyLine oven and blast chiller, and hood-type dishwashers equipped with the Energy Saving Device (ESD).
And then there’s what Francesco Martucci calls the “monster of technology” – the SkyLine blast chiller with a 200 kg capacity. This powerhouse of an appliance delivers unmatched reliability and performance!

According to the 50 Top Pizza guide, the Italian city of Caserta is home to the best pizzeria in Italy and in the world. We are referring to the renowned “I Masanielli”, which has come to be synonymous with leavened products and unparalleled taste.
It is run by Francesco Martucci, a “masaniello” – a rebel who embodies the spirit of Masaniello, a historical figure who led a popular uprising in Naples – but also a rocker and a genius!
His path to success has been an uphill climb that began out of necessity when he was only 10 years old, and over the years has evolved into a deep passion that can now be seen in his eyes and felt in his words.

So what’s the key to his success? His obsession with finding the perfect ingredient for every pizza on his menu is what he calls “o’core”, that is, the heart he puts into everything he does.
When you enter the kitchen of “I Masanielli”, you will notice that, aside from the pizza ovens, it does not resemble the kitchen of a pizzeria, but rather that of a restaurant. In fact, here you will find state-of-the-art equipment that maximizes the use of (renewable) energy, reduces cooking times, and increases operational efficiency. This equipment includes induction cooktops, automatic fryers with a basket that lifts up by itself when cooking is complete, the SkyLine oven and blast chiller, and hood type dishwashers with an energy-saving device that heats the incoming water.
And then there is the “high-tech beast”, as Francesco Martucci describes the 200-kilogram blast chiller/freezer: a piece of equipment that is both extremely reliable and powerful!

“Why Electrolux Professional?”

“Just as Jimmy Hendrix could not have played his solos without his legendary guitar, I could not make my pizzas without Electrolux Professional equipment” – admittedly, this comparison is a little far-fetched, but it is made with a certain amount of respect, as Francesco Martucci considers himself a mere craftsman in comparison to the greatest electric guitarist of all time.
