Café Football wins the game thanks to Electrolux Professional
When two of the greatest football legends of our time, Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville, decided to partner up and make a transfer into the hospitality sector, there was only one food service solutions provider they needed to call. After a recommendation from Michelin Starred chef, Nigel Haworth, Neville and Gigg’s GG Hospitality asked their suppliers to source and specify a complete Electrolux Professional kitchen for their recently launched restaurant, Café Football at Westfield Stratford City.
The brand new culinary concept has a wide range of efficient, high performing culinary solutions in its locker thanks to Electrolux Professional. The line-up includes the air-o-steam Touchline combi oven, a new green&clean Hood Type dishwasher with Energy Saving Device, Ecostore Touch refrigeration cabinets, a patented IcyHot power grill with Refrigerated drawers and XP fryers with mechanised oil filtration.
The chef team at Café Football has made the most of the programmable features on the air-o-steam Touchline combi oven, creating their own recipes and uploading them to the system – a feature that has worked really well for the CF Sausage Roll, a fan favourite in the restaurant.
Café Football Executive Chef Brendan Fyldes, commented: “The programmes on the combi are brilliant, enabling us to hone and perfect recipes as well as guarantee consistency – the programme for our sausage rolls means they go out to our diners perfect every time. And it’s that sort of consistency that keeps them coming back for more.”
“The designers took account of some of the key energy saving components within the Electrolux Professional products during the specification process, and the result is a high performing kitchen with excellent levels of efficiency.” “The Electrolux Professional XP fryers, with oil filtration pump system, have resulted in us using only half the oil stock that we would typically have to, saving us around £20 a day.”
“We’re thrilled with the kitchen from Electrolux Professional – it’s served us really well so far and we’ve been busy right from day one, so there’s been nowhere to hide.
The menu at the restaurant was created by two Michelin star chef Michael Wignall in collaboration with Café Football’s executive chef Brendan Fyldes. Football fans and foodies alike are able to enjoy dishes that capture the essence of the beautiful game, such as The Wizard Burger, The CF Sausage Roll and the Chocolate Turf. Café Football can be found on The Street at Westfield Stratford City.
