ADI “Compasso d’Oro” Award 2011: Honorable Mention to Electrolux Professional for the combined cutting slicer TRS/ K /TRK

Established in 1956, ADI “Compasso d’Oro” Award is the oldest and most influential international design award. ADI (Association for the Industrial Design) has a leading role in the development of the industrial design as a cultural and economic phenomenon.

This year one of the honorable mentions goes to the TRS/ K /TRK, part of Electrolux Professional Dynamic Preparation range, the best-in-class product in terms of innovative design and performance.

The international commission of experts from France, Italy, Brazil, Switzerland, Denmark, USA and China gave the honorable mention to the universal cutter and vegetable slicer TRS/K/TRK. This is a unique multifunctional range of vegetable slicers, food processors for meat and fish and combined cutter-slicers was launched by Electrolux Professional in 2007.

It was later included in 2008 ADI Design Index in the ”Design for work and services” thematic area.

“Innovative design and best-in-class performances make this line a perfect synthesis of ergonomics, productivity and ease of use,” says Michele Cadamuro, Electrolux Professional Head of Industrial Design.

The range TRS/K/TRK translates concretely Electrolux concept of Thoughtful Design, aiming at making users’ lives easier and more enjoyable through advanced technology and functionality, with an eye to aesthetics and recyclable materials.

The cutter and vegetable slicer TRS/K/TRK from Electrolux Professional Dynamic Preparation range are now included in the Historical Collection of the Compasso d’Oro Award, declared by the Italian Cultural Heritage Ministry to be “of exceptional artistic and historical interest” and comprised in Italy’s national heritage.
