In St Omer, an elegant laundromat located in the historic city center
8:30 a.m., arrival in Saint-Omer in Pas de Calais. Morgane Duvail, manager of the laundromat, welcomes us to her establishment located at the corner of rue St Bertin and rue du Lycée.
The midnight blue color of the exterior storefront, a color close to the Electrolux Professional pantone, fits perfectly with the prestige of the square which hosts the Swan Child fountain. A charming fountain dating from 1862 which recalls the importance of water in this town near the Audomarois marsh.
The interior of the laundromat, with a contemporary design with clean lines, incorporates beautifully crafted materials. The space is bright. The bay windows installed on two sides of the establishment allow light to invade a spacious, light interior which leaves room for the comfort of customers.
A concept primarily based on the well-being of users, but not only that.

Once they enter the laundromat, a big surprise awaits customers: “free laundry!” “.
“Offering free laundry detergent simplifies the relationship between the customer and the machine. Everything is simple and transparent for the user. The detergents are injected directly into the washers, the washing cycles begin quickly.” says Morgane Duvail.
The “Intelligent Dosing” function integrated into Line 6000 washing machines allows you to precisely calculate and add the necessary quantity of detergent to use in each wash based on the weight of laundry loaded in the drum. This function avoids waste and saves money while respecting the environment.
What machines are used in this laundromat?
The Saint-Omer laundromat is equipped with equipment suitable for city center laundries:
– 5 WH6 Line 6000 washers:
- 2 x 6 kg washers – to handle small laundry baskets
- 1 x 11 kg washer – to handle large laundry baskets
- 2 x 20 kg washers – for larger volumes such as duvets
– 1 x TD6 Line 6000 17 kg double dryer
“Our clientele is made up of many single people. These customers generally use 6 kg washers. Families are oriented towards machines with larger capacities such as the 11 kg or 20 kg. 20 kg washers are also used to wash large items such as duvets, sheets or blankets. Families also use them when they return from vacation.
The washing machines are equipped with the super-spin function, which reduces laundry processing times.
This allows customers to save time, both through shorter drying cycles but also through faster machine turnover.”
