Ristorante Scolare. For the love of Italian food.
Ristorante Scolare is an Italian restaurant opened in October 2023 in Southern Helsinki.
“We wanted to create a cheerful Italian restaurant which offers high-quality yet uncomplicated eating, drinking and service – the best flavours of Italy made from carefully selected ingredients. At Scolare, food is not just about refuelling, but an important shared moment and enjoyment. We want to offer encounters that leave you with a genuinely good feeling”, describes Pekka Terävä, Creative Leader of Ristorante Scolare.
Sustainability has been at the center of all Scolare’s choices.
“We use recycled furniture, lighting and dishes, and energy-efficient equipment were chosen for the kitchen”, says Pekka.
Ecology extends beyond Scolare’s walls: the restaurant receives energy from solar panels installed on the roof, and Scolare is located in a building which has been carbon neutral since the beginning of 2024.
Scolare and Enoteca Banco Vini – Scolare’s own wine bar – offer a total of almost 200 customer seats. At Scolare you can enjoy not only dinner, but also lunch, 6 days a week.

One of the most central devices in Scolare kitchen is the customizable thermaline cooking range:
“Pasta cookers, fryers, Bain Maries and induction cookers have been chosen exactly according to our needs. And best of all; we can change the configuration afterwards if necessary.”
In turn, the unique air circulation system of ecostore refrigerated counters takes care of fast and even cooling of even sensitive raw materials, and high-quality cold storage.
